ExecuMedical Education

Learning that leads to capability.

ExecuMedical Education is the Build layer of the wider ExecuMedical workforce model: develop the knowledge, skills and evidence people need to work safely, grow into roles and keep capability current. Courses are a means. Demonstrated, maintained competence is the point.

The principle

Accredited learning is a foundation. Capability is the outcome.

Good CPD gives structure, quality and a credible record of learning. But safe workforce deployment depends on more than attendance: practice, observation, role fit, competence, sign-off and keeping evidence current all matter.

ExecuMedical Education is being designed to connect those stages. The aim is not a catalogue of isolated courses; it is a workforce capability pathway that an organisation and a learner can follow from first learning through to maintained competence.

The pathway

Learn. Simulate. Practise. Demonstrate. Sign off. Maintain.

Six stages, each producing useful evidence. A learner moves through them; an organisation can see where capability is developing, demonstrated and due for renewal.

  1. Learn

Structured theory and case-based learning, sized for busy teams and explaining why, not only how.

  2. Simulate

Rehearse decisions and skills in realistic scenarios before they matter.

  3. Practise

Supervised practice in the workplace, with feedback that is recorded.

  4. Demonstrate

Observed practical skills against an explicit, published standard.

  5. Sign off

A named, accountable sign-off with a clear record of what was assessed, by whom and when.

  6. Maintain

Renewal planned in, so expiry becomes a signal rather than a surprise.

Renewal returns to learning.

The pathway is intended to apply across ExecuMedical Education, whether the learning is clinical, operational, mandatory, role-specific or part of longer-term workforce development.

CPD accreditation

An existing accredited foundation.

ExecuMedical is not starting its education work from zero.

ExecuMedical is listed by The CPD Certification Service as CPD Provider No. 18074 in medical and healthcare training. That accredited foundation sits inside the broader Education direction rather than defining it.

Where a learning activity carries CPD certification, we will say so clearly. CPD, attendance and competence are related but different: the capability pathway is designed to preserve those distinctions rather than collapse them into one certificate.

Whole-workforce capability

Build the person, not just the course.

The Education direction is deliberately broader than any one practical course. It should support the capability a healthcare organisation needs across a person’s working lifecycle.

Foundation and induction

Status: In development
  • Core knowledge for working safely in healthcare
  • Organisation and role orientation
  • Mandatory and recurring learning requirements

A clear starting point, with requirements and evidence visible from day one.

Clinical and practical skills

Status: In development
  • Hands-on learning where observation matters
  • Simulation and supervised practice
  • Competency evidence linked to the activity

Practical capability should be demonstrated, not assumed from attendance.

Role development

Status: In development
  • Structured progression into broader responsibilities
  • Case-based learning and workplace development
  • Evidence that supports a defined scope of work

Education should help people grow into useful, safe capability rather than remain a set of annual modules.

Maintenance and renewal

Status: In development
  • Expiry and renewal planned before capability lapses
  • Refresher learning driven by need and evidence
  • A current record that can inform workforce eligibility

Capability is only useful to an organisation if it stays current and reviewable.

ExecuMedical has delivered accredited healthcare training across multiple subject areas. The new Education direction is wider: one capability model that can support the whole workforce rather than centring the brand on any single course.

Why capability

Because expiry should be a signal, not a surprise.

Training often lives in a spreadsheet and expires quietly.

EMERGE already treats a missing or expired requirement as a signal that becomes an action with an owner. Education is designed so that what it produces, evidence of learning and capability with a date and provenance, is the kind of record that loop can use.

Education prepares the person. The Workforce module now in development is designed to use that capability evidence, with consent, alongside work-related compliance and site requirements before deployment. EMERGE would connect organisational needs and resources to the service. These product integrations are planned, not live.

Future direction

Virtual practice and a portfolio that travels.

Two parts of the longer-term Education model are deliberately left open. Both are direction, not promises with dates.

Virtual practice

Status: Future direction

Simulation a learner can return to between formal learning and workplace practice, so decisions and procedures can be rehearsed more often than a classroom allows.

Competency portfolio

Status: Future direction

One record of learning, demonstrated capability, assessor evidence and renewal that can support the person across roles and, in time, across organisations.

Development in progress

The platform foundation is in place.

The new Education platform is being built and tested with synthetic data, ahead of clinical review and release.

Status: In development

  • Capability record. Learning, practice evidence, assessment, sign-off and renewal, kept in one record.
  • Learning and teaching sessions. Online learning and assessment, and face-to-face or live online teaching sessions with verified attendance. Completing learning or attending a session never awards competence on its own.
  • Programme restructuring. ExecuMedical’s training is being restructured into a new set of programmes for the wider healthcare workforce.

The new platform is not yet open to learners or organisations, and its clinical content will be reviewed before release. This website explains the development direction; it does not take course bookings.
